Peter James Hudson
Peter is a writer, editor, and historian who researches and teaches the histories of capitalism, imperialism, anti-imperialism, and Pan-Africanism. He is the author of Bankers and Empire: How Wall Street Colonized the Caribbean (University of Chicago Press, 2017), forthcoming in Spanish translation as Banqueros e Imperio. De Cómo Wall Street colonizó el Caribe (Tinta Limón, 2026). His essays, reviews, and commentaries have appeared in Black Agenda Report, Boston Review, Haiti Liberte, Small Axe, Radical History Review, Race & Class, and other venues. He is also an editor of The Black Agenda Review, the political education supplement of The Black Agenda Report, and a co-editor of a special issue of the CLR James Journal on Black Canada. Peter is an Associate Professor of Geography.
