Layla Brown

Layla is an Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology & Africana Studies and affiliate faculty in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She is a member of the All-African People’s Revolutionary Party (GC). Her research focuses on Pan-African, Socialist, and Feminist social movements in Venezuela, the US, and the broader African Diaspora. She is currently at work on her first book manuscript Forward Ever! Forward Ever: The Political Afterlives of Pan-Africanism in the 21st Century.
